Hotel Alcyon Porto-Vecchio , Porto-Vecchio (Corsica)

The hotel was conveniently located near the town center of Porto-Vecchio, just a street across from restaurants, shops, and the old town. The rooms were disappointing with a bad smell, dirty walls, and a small size like a closet, although they turned out to be two separate rooms plus a bathroom. The dining experience had its flaws but was overall good.

Staying at this hotel had its pros and cons. The rooms, while practical, were on the small side with limited views, not quite matching the pictures from the booking app. On the upside, they were suitable for a business-style visit. The service was accommodating enough to offer an early breakfast for our early departure from Figari airport, yet the language barrier was a challenge with no English spoken. The location, although not optimal, was in a hilly suburb outside central Porto Vecchio, but it was near the town center and some lovely boutiques. The dining experience, though fresh and nice, turned out to be a bit pricey at 13 euros. Despite some drawbacks, the facilities were decent with options for dry cleaning, laundry, and tours/ticket assistance.
